Good luck with your own “mental refreshment.” We all need a reminder that we got into this line of work because we love to write. If we loved marketing, we’d be in marketing, and probably making a lot more money.

I think you’ve just given me a good idea. I’m definitely in a rut, feeling like a writer-gerbil on a wheel… It may be time to haul out the inspirational reading again, and to write more poetry. Maybe even (gasp!) fanfic. Writing something completely silly and unpublishable about the gang from Firefly always seems to jumpstart my brain.
