Retail therapy

Yesterday after work, I was in dire need of distraction. A girl needs a break from paid work and work for love (which is what writing is). So off I went to browse a couple of shops and came home with two pairs of earrings, a Murano glass heart pendant (red and a deep blue) and three books (of course).

The books:

Charlotte Wood’s The Children (she’s an Australian writer whose other book, The Submerged Cathedral I loved);

Harlan Coben’s Promise Me (a writer who’s become a must read for me);

Barbara Nadel’s A Passion for Killing (set in Turkey with a Turkish cop - sounds great).

1,042 words today. Much better.

    That’s some really good Sven progress there! And yay to retail therapy.
