I took a long time to start writing, suffering from a very punitive and perfectionist internal editor. Every time I’d sit down to write, a voice would tell me not to bother. But stories kept popping into my mind, and when I finally left my stressful public sector job, I decided to ignore my internal editor and just knock out something.

The something turned out to be quite romantic, which surprised me, not being a terribly romantic person. Many years of feminism and social justice politics made me suspicious of what I thought of as fiction designed to oppress women with unrealistic fantasies. But I started to read lots of romance and then branched out to erotic romance. Finally, I thought, this is what I want to write!

And boy, is it fun! And being fun, it must be good for you. Well, it’s good for me anyway.

I also write non romantic erotica which satisfies another part of myself where not everything ends happily.

Born and bred in Sydney Australia, tend my garden and struggle daily to make peace with my internal editor. My pen name, Keziah, is a Hebrew name meaning cassiah, a spice like cinnamon.
